On Friday, June 16, 2023, the highly anticipated Annual BCI Asia Awards ceremony took place at Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila.
During this prestigious event, the Philippines’ 10 most-active architecture firms and property developers were honored with the esteemed BCI Top 10 Awards. It was a momentous occasion celebrating their exceptional contribution to the industry.
The portfolios of the top developers are valued at USD19.3 billion, while the portfolios of these elite architecture firms comprise USD16.5 billion worth of properties scheduled to start construction in Philippines this year. These firms were chosen based on the greatest aggregate value of projects under construction during the last full calendar year, weighted by the extent of their sustainability efforts. For architecture firms, pre-tender projects were included to recognise early incorporation of sustainable efforts.

FuturArc Prize
FuturArc Prize (FAP) 2023, an international Green Design Competition for architecture professionals and students alike, was held from October 2022 to February 2023 with the theme of Cross-Generational Architecture. The theme explored the rapid change of societal compositions throughout Asia, asking entrants to envision sustainable design solutions for future generations amidst ongoing climate and planetary challenges.
The winners and merit recipients will be awarded at their respective countries across the BCI Asia Awards circuit with cash prizes, trophies, certificates and international publication on the FuturArc print magazine and online platforms.
The year 2023 offered many opportunities to build - better, smarter and more holistically.
