Robinsons Magnolia

Project Brief

Throughout the years, the Philippine mall experience has undergone a profound metamorphosis: shedding the traditional commercial trappings that mimicked the old-school roadside setups and transforming into a vibrant hub of social and cultural significance. Robinsons Magnolia stands as the embodiment of this transformation—a testament to the evolving needs of mallgoers who seek not just a shopping hub but a dynamic space to celebrate life, partake in art, and forge connections.

Paying homage to the legacy of what was once the famous Magnolia Ice Cream House is where this 12-hectare commercial development got its name from. It is among the pioneers of green mall design in the country, designed with wide halls that harness natural lighting and ventilation throughout the establishment.

At its heart sprawls a large green oasis, covered with turf and adorned with urban furniture, optimized with the use of placemaking activators to spark social interactions and community engagement.

At the center, one is welcomed by the large green space covered with turf and decorated with urban furniture, optimized with the use of placemaking activators to spark interactions.
